Castle Ragtime Company is proud to officially announce the 2018 San Antonio Ragtime Festival taking place on Saturday, April 7, 2018. This Official Tricentennial Partner event brings Castle’s mission to life by celebrating musical history and culture that might otherwise be forgotten. A full day of unique music and novel entertainment awaits. The best part? Admission is free!

We are partnering with Brick at Blue Star to create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere you won’t want to miss. The turn-of-the-century festival doubles as a free-form exhibit, allowing visitors to learn a thing or two about San Antonio’s and the surrounding areas’ musical history.

Musical acts showcasing piano ragtime, period pop music, local flavor, and more will run throughout the day. Between acts, an open piano will keep the air lively. The official festival lineup will be announced soon!

Besides experiencing the music and culture, patrons will have an opportunity to take a piece of ragtime history home with them. Authentic, hundred-year-old sheet music and other souvenirs will be available as part of a small vintage market.

Many more exciting activities and opportunities are in the works and will be announced in the coming weeks.
